To add to and complement our existing search service provided at our homepage, we’ve added a new feature that allows our users to read the top 7 ‘breaking news’ items collected from CNN, Google News and Yahoo News, as well as follow the last 7 featured websites from del.icio.us.
For the time being this new feature will only be available at the bottom of Sputtr’s original version at sputtr.com, but if popular we will spread it to our international versions (so far UK, DE, IT, FR, ES, CN).
As usual, let us know what you think of this new feature! Good addition? Bad addition? You tell us!

Give it a try!

Due to popular demand we have added Mister-Wong.de search to the German version of Sputtr at http://www.sputtr.com/de/
Mister-Wong.de (’Master of all Bookmarks’)
To all our Korean users, please be patient for another one or two days - the Korean version will be up by then (featuring some of the best Korean sites out there!)

Today we’ve replaced the less popular Simpy, Clipmarks and Odeo searches with the far popular and highly requested Cnet, Dailymotion and Dictionary searches. The following are the new buttons on Sputtr:
cnet.com
dailymotion.com
dictionary.com
All current users: please make sure you refresh your page to see these new buttons. Enjoy!
Cheers,

Apparently we were on CNET TV’s ‘The Queue’ yesterday. We didn’t know until this morning when someone sent us the link.

Ok, back to our translations. There are more translations coming, particularly French, Spanish and Korean. We’re aiming at releasing these by Monday or Tuesday next week - so have some patience please.
Also we’ve received many requests to add dictionary.com and dailymotion.com to the website. This will be done as soon as possible. While there are many other sites that were suggested, it will be difficult to add all of them without cluttering the entire homepage. So we will decide on an ongoing basis which sites (popular ones, not semi-popular ones) to include. The long-term aim is to have the most popular and most useful 36 search engines on the front page.
Please let us know what you think of these plans, particularly whether we should add more than 36 buttons, or leave it at that.
Cheers,
The Sputtr Team

We’ve spent a lot of time translating our site over the past few days! So far we’ve completed 4 of the 8 translations we planned, and we feel that we should make these versions available to our users to play with.
So, today we’re adding the following International versions of Sputtr:
DEUTSCH - http://www.sputtr.com/de/
UK ENGLISH - http://www.sputtr.com/uk/
ITALIANO - http://www.sputtr.com/it/
中文(简体) - http://www.sputtr.com/cn/
As usual, feel free to suggest any sites that you feel should be featured on any of these versions.
Enjoy!

In order to make it easier for our users to suggest additional services that they would like to search from our homepage, we’ve added a nice little button that looks like this:

So, if there are any more websites that you would love to search using Sputtr, feel free to click that button on the homepage, and let us know!
Enjoy,
The Sputtr Team
